A small product should collect a small amount of data.
SUMO DAY uses Google Analytics 4 only after you choose “Allow analytics.” If you choose “No thanks,” the Google Analytics tag is not loaded.
What we measure
- Pages viewed and general traffic source
- Which sumo cards and product sections are opened
- Free-preview progress, Sumo Spotting actions, and checkout starts
- Trip-planner completion and clicks from a SUMO DAY comparison page to a clearly labelled paid partner link
- Basic device, browser, approximate location, and usage information provided by Google Analytics
What we do not send
We do not send names, email addresses, free-text answers, payment details, or personal photos to Google Analytics. Advertising storage, Google Signals, and ad-personalization signals are disabled in the site tag.
Purchases, access, and support
Lemon Squeezy processes checkout, payment, applicable transaction taxes, receipt, and license information under its own terms and privacy policy. When you activate a Trip Pass, SUMO DAY sends the purchase email and license key to Lemon Squeezy for validation and does not store those raw values in a SUMO DAY database. SUMO DAY stores numeric order, license, and product identifiers; one-way device and request-source fingerprints; the Lemon Squeezy activation-instance and reservation identifiers; and access status, timestamps, event information, and refund or license-revocation state needed to enforce access and protect the activation service from abuse. It does not store the raw IP address or device nonce. Inactive request-source fingerprints become eligible for deletion after 24 hours and are removed on the next activation cleanup pass. A secure browser cookie is used to remember access on that device.
If you contact support, we use the information you choose to send—such as your email, order number, device, browser, description, or screenshot—to respond and troubleshoot, prevent misuse, meet accounting or legal obligations, and handle disputes. Do not send full payment-card details.
We keep support correspondence and access-security records only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes. To ask about correction or deletion of support information, email support@sumoday.guide; some records may need to be retained where law or a live transaction requires it.
Planning and partner links
The Build My Sumo Day tool runs in your browser and does not ask for a name, email address, travel date, booking number, or free-text answer. With analytics consent, SUMO DAY may record the option categories selected and whether the plan was built; it does not send the answers to an affiliate partner.
If you choose a clearly labelled paid partner link, the destination provider receives the normal information involved in opening its website and may use its own cookies or tracking parameters to attribute a later booking. Its privacy, booking, payment, cancellation, and support terms apply after you leave SUMO DAY. SUMO DAY does not receive your payment-card details from that provider.
Your choice
Your analytics choice is saved in this browser. You can change it at any time; turning analytics off also removes SUMO DAY’s first-party Google Analytics cookies from this browser where possible.
